Oppo announces Super VOOC - fully charging a battery in 15 minutes


The Super VOOC is capable of recharging a 2,500 mAh battery in just 15 minutes. It can also achieve about 45% of charge in 5 minutes. The new VOOC charging works over both microUSB and USB Type-C ports and requires the new Super VOOC Flash Charger plug, a new special cable, and a connector made from high-quality military-grade materials.

Microsoft seeds a new update for Windows 10 Mobile



Microsoft has begun seeding a new update for Windows 10 Mobile. The firmware's build number is 14267 and it tweaks the multi-tasking performance on mid and high-end Lumia phones.


New SanDisk microSD offers read speeds of up to 275MB/s

SanDisk always has an impressive SD card to show at big events. This year at the MWC, it's about speed - 275MB/s worth of speed from a microSD card. . It comes bundled with a USB 3.0 reader for guaranteed downloads at max speed. The card is no slouch when it comes to write speeds either - up to 100MB/s. This card will be available in Q2 two in two capacities - 64GB and 128GB. For $180 and $300 respectively.

Sony kept it short and sweet - it launched a new phone line, the Xperia X, and the first three phones in it are the Xperia X, XA and X Performance.


ZTE announces the Blade V7 and Blade V7 Lite


ZTE Blade V7 and ZTE Blade V7 Lite went official at the MWC today.

They are targeting the young people and those with young hearts, as ZTE likes to say, and both will become available in selected markets later this year. 


Only 32GB Galaxy S7/S7 edge will be available in US and some European markets


Just a couple of weeks after there were reports that only the 32GB variant of Samsung's Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will be available in some European markets, Samsung has confirmed that the 64GB variant won't be available in the US as well. There is currently no information on if and when the 64GB variant will be made available in these markets. 

As for the reason behind the move, reports say it's purely a business decision as both Europe and the US are major markets for Samsung and the 32GB variants of both S7 and S7 edge are said to have higher profit margins than their 64GB equivalents
