Apple to Apply Electro Magnetic Interference Shielding to Major iPhone 7 Chips?



Apple is planning to apply EMI shielding to most of the major chips on the iPhone 7, reports ETNews.

This is said to increase device performance and alleviate consumer concern about electromagnetic waves from smartphones.


Apple Pay to Launch in China on February 18th



Apple Pay is set to launch in China on February 18th, according to social media posts from the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), reports Reuters.


Here Maps for iOS now supports 3D Touch


Here Maps for iOS has received a pretty consistent update today , 3D Touch is now supported, which means that if you own an Apple iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus and then apply pressure onto the Here Maps icon on your home screen you'll get the option to navigate to your home.  On the map, you can now tap place icons for stores, sights, and transit stations.

Sony UK: Xperia Z5 series, Z4 Tablet, and Z3+ to get Marshmallow update


Sony has announced that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will start hitting its  Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia Z3+ units as well as Xperia Z5 series devices in the United Kingdom beginning March 7.


Freedom 251 is a $4 smartphone that has quad-core CPU and runs Android Lollipop - Make In India


India's Ringing Bells has unveiled India's most affordable smartphone. named Freedom 251, the Android-powered device carries a price tag of INR 251, which translates into just under $4 at current exchange rates.

It  is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, and has a 4-inch qHD IPS display. It comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. , The Freedom 251 features a 3.2MP rear unit and a 0.3MP front shooter. The phone runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop), and packs in a 1,450mAh battery.

Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS, while color options include white

Ringing Bells says the phone is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for "empowering India to the last person, transforming India's growth story."

It will be available to order from it's dedicated website  starting 6:00 AM tomorrow (February 18). India's Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will officially launch it later today.

LG X max, X speed, X style, and X power tipped to be coming later this year


LG announced a new 'X' series of smartphones yesterday, revealing that two devices from the series - the X cam and X screen - will be unveiled at the MWC which is going to be held at  next week.

Now, the leakster @evleaks has revealed the names of some other X series phones. Evan Blass (@evleaks) February 15, 2016 -   These members are the X max, X speed, X style, and X power.

While no other details about these handsets were revealed,

Xiaomi slashes Mi 4, Mi 4i, and Redmi Note Prime prices in India


Xiaomi is celebrating Mi Week (Tuesday to Friday) in India, and as part of it  Xiaomi  has slashed the prices of some of its Mi series smartphones, including the Mi 4 and Mi 4i.
