Freedom 251 is a $4 smartphone that has quad-core CPU and runs Android Lollipop - Make In India


India's Ringing Bells has unveiled India's most affordable smartphone. named Freedom 251, the Android-powered device carries a price tag of INR 251, which translates into just under $4 at current exchange rates.

It  is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, and has a 4-inch qHD IPS display. It comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. , The Freedom 251 features a 3.2MP rear unit and a 0.3MP front shooter. The phone runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop), and packs in a 1,450mAh battery.

Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS, while color options include white

Ringing Bells says the phone is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for "empowering India to the last person, transforming India's growth story."

It will be available to order from it's dedicated website  starting 6:00 AM tomorrow (February 18). India's Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will officially launch it later today.

LG X max, X speed, X style, and X power tipped to be coming later this year


LG announced a new 'X' series of smartphones yesterday, revealing that two devices from the series - the X cam and X screen - will be unveiled at the MWC which is going to be held at  next week.

Now, the leakster @evleaks has revealed the names of some other X series phones. Evan Blass (@evleaks) February 15, 2016 -   These members are the X max, X speed, X style, and X power.

While no other details about these handsets were revealed,

New Xperia M5/M5 Dual update is aimed at fixing bugs


Sony has started rolling out a new update to its Xperia M5 and M5 Dual smartphones.

The update bumps the build number to 30.1.A.1.46 and 30.1.B.1.46, respectively, and brings along bug fixes.

Samsung Pay to launch alongside Galaxy S7 in Russia

Samsung has already announced that its Samsung Pay - will be launching in several countries this year, including the UK, Spain, China, Australia, Singapore, and Brazil. However, now it looks like the service will be available in Russia too.
